    Ofsted — KINGSGATE SCHOOL

    Ofsted is the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills. They inspect services providing education and skills for learners of all ages.
    They also inspect and regulate services that care for children and young people. Click here to be taken to the Ofsted website.

    Here are some of the quotes from our most recent inspection:

    Attendance is everyone’s responsibility at the school. It is a high priority for leaders and staff. Leaders have robust systems in place to track pupils' attendance.

    Positive relationships between staff and pupils are the basis of the behaviour system. There is very little disruption to learning.

    This all leads to a calm and focused learning environment.

    Older pupils are able to talk about their learning and link this to their previous lessons. They are prepared for their next steps in education.

     The teaching of phonics is effective. Teachers are well trained, and there is high fidelity to the scheme.

    There is a sharp focus on reading in the early years, with children developing their fluency.

    Ofsted Parent View

    Ofsted Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think of your child’s school, including:

    • How happy your child is at school;
    • How school manages bullying or challenging behaviour;
    • If your child has special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), they will ask how well the school supports them.
